Have you ever experienced a site that was completely removed from Google's index for more than one year?

My site has been online for a little over a year. Just this morning I tried using Google to find it and couldn't. Have you ever seen a site just drop off the map like this?

Yes, because the site was cross linking with 15 others. All 15 went down. Never came back. That was 3-4 years ago!
